Rombicus - Roman Schernego (Ger.) is a multifaceted artist who has developed a unique style rooted in elements of cubism. Born in 1966 in Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan, he displayed artistic talent from an early age and took his first lessons at Mikhail Shilkin’s art school. His primary focus is portraiture and caricature.
The artist's youth and early studies took place in the cities of Liepaja and Riga (Latvia), where he continued his art education, taking lessons with Professor Romis Bems at the Latvian Art Academy. Since 1993, he has been living and working in Hamburg, Germany, where he developed his own expressive style, known as "Extreme Art" or "Grotesque Cubism." Schernego successfully works in various genres, including portrait, landscape, and still life, and also creates collages and sculptures.
In 2004, he was admitted to the German Artists' Union. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions and in many international plein air festivals across Europe, repeatedly earning audience awards.
Roman Schernego's works are part of private collections around the world, including in the USA, Canada, Great Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Latvia, Russia, Uzbekistan, and others. Additionally, his paintings are held in several museums in Ukraine.
